Can you tell which firearm is loaded with ammunition and which is loaded with water?

What if you were standing across the street in the dark or 20 feet away in a public place?

As part of a social media trend, teens are using realistic-looking water guns as part of a game. The problem? If a resident calls 911 reporting that there’s a young person acting suspiciously or brandishing a gun, we will respond and assume it is a real firearm. A one-second misunderstanding could have very real and deadly consequences.

PARENTS: Please take a minute to talk to your children about the risks of carrying a realistic-looking toy gun in public because not everyone knows it’s a game.
