The Perry Initiative inspires young people to become leaders in orthopedic surgery and engineering by partnering with medical centers, universities, and high schools nationwide.

Let's give a warm Warrior welcome to Mr. Shawn Bryant!
Mr. Bryant is proud to join the Northwestern Warriors family as Assistant Principal, bringing a path to leadership that's anything but conventional. He began his career in education as a custodian, then worked his way through roles as a paraprofessional, reading interventionist, behavior coach, special education aide, and classroom teacher before stepping into administration, all while earning his bachelor's degree and a Master's in Educational Leadership (cum laude) and raising his family.
His leadership starts with relationships, seeing people before trying to change them, and doing the work alongside his team. He brings real expertise in literacy and PLC leadership, trauma-informed and restorative practices, and PBIS, and holds a special education generalist endorsement. For Mr. Bryant, credibility is something you earn one role at a time, and he's excited to get to know every student, support every staff member, and partner with every family so each Warrior feels seen, challenged, and set up to succeed.
