Cleaning out upstairs turned into a little time‑travel moment — I found two original 1964–65 Art Buchwald paperbacks in excellent shape. Bright covers, clean pages, no cracked spines. Classic Cold War / Kennedy–Johnson era humor, and honestly still funny.

I’m listing the pair on eBay if anyone collects vintage political satire or just loves that mid‑century vibe. They’re in great condition for being 60 years old. I mean fabulous! No cracked spines, no tears, no folded corners.

If you know Niels Erik From, you know most of what you see out there is his 60s–70s brutalist work. Cool stuff, but this is not that. This is one of his early Skønvirke‑era pieces — the floral, nature‑driven designs he made when he first opened his workshop in 1931.

This is a little different for me, but still vintage and still collectible. 😀

R&W Berries Co made some of the most recognizable novelty figurines of the early 1970s, and this little bowler is a great example of why people still hunt them down. Signed and numbered 836, dated 1971, made in the USA. The inscription reads: Old Bowlers Never Die, They Just Don’t Score As Much. It’s the kind of piece that got gifted at bowling banquets and never left the shelf because it was just too good.
Condition is excellent. The resin has deepened slightly in color over 55 years, which is exactly what you’d expect, and every detail is still crisp and clear. No chips, no cracks. Original felt pad fully intact on the bottom.
Measures 6” tall x 3” wide. Priced at $28.

This 1920s Art Deco choker is the real thing — officially antique now, since the 1920s hit their centennial. It’s strung in the classic Deco high-contrast style: deep jet black rounds alternating with rock crystal quartz beads in several cuts and sizes.

The focal point is a large fluted melon-cut rock crystal bead at center front, flanked by two twisted 20mm rock crystal beads. The rest of the strand plays with faceted and smooth clear beads against the black — very intentional, very of-the-era design.

All beads are original. The necklace was restrung when the cotton thread began to fail, which is standard practice for pieces this age. A small replacement ring and clamp beads were used; the original pattern was preserved exactly. Choker length at 15.5” with no extender — sits right at the collarbone.

This one works dressed up or down and holds its own against anything modern.
