We’ve got another employee intro this week! This is our Operations Manager, Nate Black! Nate has been at SRAC since 2024. Nate runs The Creamery Arts Center, where our office is located, meaning he can do just about any random task that is asked of him.

Nate is the embodiment of “yes, and.” Running this old building comes with some challenges, and he problem-solves at the drop of a hat, including dealing with the rock that someone recently threw through our window (pictured in slide 4), planting our sunflowers out front, lighting our gallery shows, and much, much more. Nate is a mixed-media artist and has been part of many creations and art installations for our events at the Creamery Arts Center, as well as Artsfest and the Ozzies. The constant experimentation in his own art has carried over to his work at the Creamery. When we show him a hairbrained idea (his favorite type of idea), he’s immediately brainstorming how he can make it happen.

Nate is never not doing a bit. He will always stop to compliment your outfit, to give you a high-five, and say “bless-you” when you sneeze. Say hi to him next time you’re at the Creamery!
