Native plantings are beginning to take root near the Chestnut Expressway and College Street intersection as work continues on the Westport Branch Green Infrastructure Project.

These plantings offer a preview of the native landscaping that will help improve stormwater management and water quality in the Wilson's Creek watershed.

Construction continues on green infrastructure features including rain gardens, bioretention areas and expanded stormwater detention that will work together to slow, filter and treat stormwater runoff before it reaches local waterways.
