During , May 17–23, we recognize the employees of Springfield Public Works and Environmental Services for the essential work they do every day to support our community. The Yardwaste Recycling Center will be CLOSED Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9 to allow for a controlled burn of storm debris collected during last year’s spring storm cleanup efforts.

The facility is expected to reopen on Tuesday, May 12, during normal operating hours, weather and conditions permitting. Please check this page for updates before visiting.

⚠️ Please stay clear of the burn site for your safety. Smoke will be visible and may be noticeable in nearby neighborhoods. See our most recent post for more information.
