You know that feeling you get when you lose your balance on the stairs, and catch yourself just before you fall? Or you barely catch an expensive object just before it falls and breaks? Or maybe your car is sliding on black ice and catches just in time before you hit something?

Well, I went to turn and step after latching the gate in the cow pen, and my boot was sucked into the muck 💩

I can’t explain how close I was to losing my balance and falling. 💩

That’s the feeling I had.

I almost lost my footing, and my dignity and narrowly avoided a full blown face plant into a pile of cow s^*t. 💩

The days are longer which means the girls are producing- we have an abundance of eggs!

Who needs eggs?!?! 🥚 🍳

We didn’t get a lot of snow today but the wind was intense 🌬️ ❄️ I’m grateful that all the animals can get out of the elements and inside the barn! I’m fine once I’m out there but I had to really talk myself into getting bundled up this morning to do chores- I didn’t waste any time and I didn’t do anything extra. Some days it’s just like that. Gather eggs, make sure everyone has water and a full belly and then back inside where it’s warm and cozy!
