Africa's Hope

Another exciting day at Africa’s Hope! Today, our team loaded a shipping container bound for Yaoundé, Cameroon, filled with resources that will strengthen Bible schools and equip future church leaders across Central Africa.

This shipment includes Bible school libraries for:
• Full Gospel Bible Institute in Bamenda – 2,259 books
• Institut Biblique du Plein Évangile au Septentrion (IBPES) in Ngaoundéré – 2,050 books
• Full Gospel School of Theology in Mbalmayo – 2,042 books

In addition, we’re sending:
• Library shelving units
• 71 boxes of books by Drs. John V. York and Denzil R. Miller
• 500 French FireBibles
• 1,000 Sawyer water filters
• Printing equipment for the print-on-demand system in Yaoundé
• 194 boxes of English and French Discovery Series textbooks for Bible schools in Cameroon, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo

Every box represents an investment in raising up Spirit-empowered, biblically trained leaders who will serve churches and communities throughout Africa. Thank you to everyone whose prayers and generosity make shipments like this possible. Together, we are helping equip leaders who will impact generations to come!

On Tuesday, we were blessed to hear an encouraging and challenging report from Nate Lashway, AGWM Area Director for East Africa and the Indian Ocean Basin, about the growth of the Church in East Africa and some of the challenges being faced. We were moved by the tremendous needs he presented and wanted to share his prayer requests.

We are celebrating the recent graduation of 213 students from Addis Ababa Bible College (ABC) in Ethiopia during their 29th annual commencement ceremony!

Among the graduates, 16 earned their master’s degrees, while 99 students completed bachelor’s programs across multiple language tracks — 51 in Amharic, 39 in English, and 9 in Afaan Oromo. In addition, 98 completed diploma-level studies using the Discovery Series curriculum.

ABC Principal Aklilu Kuma shared that graduates came from across Ethiopia, including 12 students from Yirgalem in the Sidama Region and 5 from Dire Dawa in eastern Ethiopia.

We thank God for these men and women who are being equipped for ministry and leadership throughout Ethiopia and beyond. Please join us in praying for these graduates as they step into the calling God has placed on their lives!
