Back in the 1950's, the Puckett family owned a Harley Davidson dealership in Orlando Florida, and devoted a great amount of time racing and experimenting with modifications to the2 stroke, Harley Davidson 125 cc and 165cc engines. The Puckett's really enjoyed the little Hummer motorcycles, and wanted to make them as fast as possible, in an effort to win races! They realized that a lot of horsepower could be gained, by simply removing the stock exhaust system, and began experimenting with different expansion chamber dimensions. They also experimented with the factory cylinder port timing. The Puckett's also began producing a variety of their own, after-market parts including race heads, cooling rings, expansion chambers, and hotter ignition systems.Soon, engines built using their specifications and parts, went on to win races and hare scramble events across the nation. Today, Puckett parts are rare. Very rare. Rare as a hen's teeth! Also rare is the opportunity to race a Harley Hummer!
