God's goodness and kindness to sinners should inspire them to repent of rebellion and disobedience. When that does not happen, they are treasuring up judgment from God. A gospel without a call to repentance is an incomplete gospel (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:38).

Romans 1:18-32 describes the way sin progressed in humanity and how it can progress in an individual's life. What begins as simply leaving God out of the person's daily life can lead to idolatry which can lead to immorality and debauchery and to judgement.
