6th & 8th grade had an awesome day at Dogwood Canyon! They participated in a forest phenology study and learned how to check tree health, growth, and leaf development. They also hit the trails for a hike! 🥾🌳

Mrs. Penick’s kindergarten class had a great time at the nature center! They learned all about animal coverings like skin, scales, feathers, and fur and even got to touch a turtle shell and otter fur! 🐢🦦

They also saw a salamander and a snake up close, which was so exciting! 🐍
The class enjoyed a peaceful walk along the trail, taking in the trees, leaves, and all the beautiful nature around them.
