Literacy impacts everyday life.

It helps us read a recipe, fill out a job application, understand medication instructions, or help a child with homework.

Strong reading skills make everyday tasks easier and help people feel more confident and independent.

Literacy is about more than reading words on a page. It opens doors to new opportunities, stronger connections, and a better future.

That is why our mission matters. Every learner deserves the chance to succeed. 💚

As many as 1 in 5 people worldwide have dyslexia.

Dyslexia is one of the most common learning disabilities and can make learning to read more challenging. However, it is not related to intelligence, motivation, or a person's ability to succeed.

Recognizing the signs early and providing the right support can make a meaningful difference in a child's learning journey.

If you have questions about dyslexia or concerns about your child's reading development, there are resources available to help.

💚 The Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center offers a free Dyslexia Resource Guide for Ohio Families that includes information on signs of dyslexia, school screenings, support options, and helpful resources.

Every child learns differently, and every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. 💚📚

Did you know students who read during the summer are more likely to maintain their reading skills when school starts again?

Just a few minutes of reading each day can help prevent the "summer slide" and keep young minds active all season long. 💚

Looking for simple ways to add more reading this summer?

☀️ Read before bed each night
☀️ Visit your local library
☀️ Keep books in the car for errands and road trips
☀️ Try audiobooks while traveling or doing chores
☀️ Let your child choose books that interest them
☀️ Read a recipe, menu, map, or instructions together
☀️ Create a family reading challenge

Remember, every page counts. The goal isn't perfection. It's making reading a regular part of everyday life. 📚💚

👉 What is your family's favorite way to read during the summer?
