⚾❤️ Senior Night for our Senators!

Tonight, family, friends, staff, teammates, and fans gathered at to celebrate a special group of seniors who have poured four years of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and heart into Senator Baseball.

From the laughs in the dugout to the battles on the diamond, these seniors helped build memories and bonds that will last far beyond the season. The Senators gave it their all tonight against and the Rockets, coming up short on the scoreboard, but never lacking in effort, pride, or passion. ⚾

We are proud to celebrate this senior class and all they’ve meant to the program. Thank you for representing Senator Baseball with heart and determination every step of the way.

The girls soccer team is building on the momentum from a tremendous season last year and continuing to put up impressive numbers this spring under Coach Pat Phillips. The Senators hosted Decatur tonight and came away with another exciting victory on their home field.

This team continues to show what hard work, teamwork, and dedication can accomplish. From strong defensive play to big offensive moments, the Senators are making their mark this season and giving fans plenty to cheer about.

Congratulations to all of the players and coaches on tonight’s win and best of luck the rest of the season. The Senators are back in action this Thursday as they take on the cyclones at SHG Field. Come out and support the Senators as they look to keep the momentum going. ⚽

The baseball team traveled to Jacksonville today as both the varsity and junior varsity squads took on the Crimsons on the diamond.

The varsity team got on the board first when Carter Magalis doubled to drive in three runs, but the Crimsons battled back to take the win, 5-3.

The junior varsity game was tied 1-1 for most of the matchup until the Senators broke things open in the seventh inning, scoring six runs to earn a 7-1 victory.

Good luck the rest of the season, Senators! Tomorrow they face Normal U-High Pioneers.

Congratulations to Dr. Lisa Leardi for receiving recognition as a Horace Mann Administrator of the Year finalist.

Dr. Leardi is an ever-present force for Springfield High. From hallways, classrooms, sport contest, to fine arts and extra curricular events, Dr. Leardi always shows up to support our SHS students. Her expectations to excel push our school and those inside it to succeed.

We are incredibly proud to recognize Lydia Negele is a finalist for Horace Mann Teacher of the Year.

Students who have walked Springfield High halls over the years know her impact, whether in her class as a student or not.

🎺🥁 Can you hear the trumpets? Feel the rhythm of the percussion? That can only mean one thing… it’s showtime!

We are proud to share that the Springfield High School - Illinois Pep Band has been selected to perform in the State Finale Series Band at the IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals!

The Senators will take the stage during the 4th and 5th session on March 6 at CEFCU Arena on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois — bringing the energy, the spirit, and that signature SHS sound.

This is an incredible honor and a testament to the talent, dedication, and countless hours of rehearsal put in by our student musicians and directors.

Let’s give it up for the Senators as they represent Springfield in a big way. 🎶🔥
