Congratulations to our two graduating Missouri State oboes! We will miss having you in the studio, but are so excited to watch your careers unfold! 🐻🎶🎓

Last concert photo dump of the school year! Congrats to Wind Symphony (+ our guests from Kickapoo HS!), Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble (+ guests from Nixa HS) on their final concerts over the past few weeks. Everyone did a great job adjusting to new (to us) venues!

Just one final push until juries on Wednesday, and then it’s time for summer break ☀️ 🎶 🐻

Meet senior, Autumn Shotwell! We’re so glad Autumn joined the oboe studio for her last semester at MSU! She also plays the carillon and will be giving her Senior Carillon Recital this coming Sunday, April 27! 🔔🐻

5-6 Monday, 2/23: Gabriel, Aeron, and Autumn after the MSU Wind Symphony concert!

7-9 Tuesday, 2/24: Ally and the MSU Concert Band and Duncan and Alexis after the MSU Wind Ensemble Concert 🐻

10 Tonight! Thursday, 2/26: Catch Dr. White, Dr. Heyboer, and Dr. Roberts at the MSU Composition Festival concert 🎼

Huge congrats to MSU oboes on two amazing performances at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference! Kudos to Duncan for an energetic performance with the Aetos Singers and Alexis, Gabriel, Duncan, and the entire for an inspired performance yesterday evening!

What a start to 2026! Dr. Chen and the played a fantastic preview concert of Rimsky-Korsakov and Holst last night, with lovely oboe and English horn solos and section moments from Alexis, Gabriel, and Duncan. Don’t miss their performance at the MMEA conference next Thursday at 7:00 pm! 🐻 🎶
