The Mosaic Project - SPI
Archiving moments of humanity

The Mosaic Project is becoming more than interviews.
In some small way, I am trying to contribute to the story Springfield tells about itself : the people who are here, the spaces being created, and the kind of community we are becoming together.
This week’s conversation with Bloom Wine Bar & Florals reminded me that Springfield is full of young entrepreneurs creating spaces of beauty, belonging, conversation, and community in the heart of downtown.
These are the stories worth amplifying.
Huge thanks to Bloom for sharing their vision, and to 1221 Photography for helping capture the spirit of the space through some incredible photos.
Take a look through the gallery, support local, and keep believing that good things are still growing in Springfield. 🌿🍷
Look for the conversation on the Illinois Times soon. Also, let's take a moment to recognize and appreciate they are wearing My Heart's Downtown's downtown apparel! Way to go!

Leah Wilson was in the studio last week! She is doing big things over at Kidzeum of Health and Science! If you have not met her, she brings fresh and winsome ideas to the museum and to Springfield. (Plus, she is supporting local Custom Cup!)

CONSPIRACY THEOPRIES --ALIENS -- SNAKES-- X FILES-- GOD
Isabella Szabo from the Springfield Area Arts Council was in the house to talk Levitt Amp and Art for next week's episode. However afterwards- I asked her to flip the script and ask me anything-- and it got interesting! 15 minutes
Don’t lose hope!
As a new American citizen- Ash brings a very human and thoughtful perspective to the topic of immigration. We touch on ICE, the process and his journey to America.

Thinking of starting a new segment: The Open Table exploring the question “Who is God?”
For some, the answer is deeply personal and rooted in faith. For others, the word itself carries uncertainty, tension, mystery, or even resistance.
In this (possible) series, faith leaders, activists, artists, skeptics, and everyday people are invited into honest conversations about meaning, transcendence, suffering, hope, and the language we use for the sacred; or why we reject it altogether.
WHAT QUESTIONS WOULD YOU WANT ASKED OF EACH PARTICIPANT?
