It is dangerous to compare sins just to make ourselves feel more righteous than we really are. The same heart that condemns someone else’s visible rebellion will often protect its own hidden pride, bitterness, jealousy, lust, or unforgiveness without conviction.

Grace is not a permission slip to stay comfortable in sin, but a reason to fall on our knees equally humbled before a holy God. 🔥🙏🏽

We cannot treat Scripture like a buffet where we only accept the parts that feel comfortable to us. Following Jesus means surrendering to all of God’s truth, even the commands that confront our pride, challenge our desires, and call us to change. If God is truly Lord over our lives, shouldn’t He have the right to correct every part of us?
