This picture captures the essence of farriery—the true necessity behind passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the horse’s well-being. We had four Texas farriers, from different ages and stages in their careers, spend several days with us last week and it solidified our thoughts on one of the most important aspects of the farrier industry, which also happens to be one of the most lacking aspects- collaboration. A farrier striving for excellence craves knowledge, education, mastery, precision, innovation, wisdom, experience, improvement, understanding and expertise…just to name a few. All 5 of the farrier’s pictured are striving for excellence because they have a desire to benefit the horse.

The strength of the farrier community lies in its willingness to share and teach. We pray that 2025 opens doors for those starving to LEARN, CONNECT & GROW for the benefit of the horses they care for! The farrier industry can no longer be a place where knowledge is guarded, but rather a community where those who are educated and driven have the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve excellence.
