First of all I want to thank my cousin, Crystal who to my knowledge knows only a minute amount about cosplay before seeing this sequence of photos and captions. Yes, I'm sure she's heard me say "I'm a photographer of cosplay and cosplayers" a million times and had a vague idea of what cosplay is and what cosplayers do. But for her to send me a private message via facebook with the following sequence of Adam Savage speaking at TED about cosplay means so much to me.

For someone who isn't a cosplayer but does love a lot of "geeky" things (including watching/screaming our feelings at) The Walking Dead with me, to read and understand what is a huge part of my life is very special to me. As are all of you, special to me.

I'm not sure if you all know but next year will be my 10th year doing photography, my 9th year doing cosplay photography and what a great adventure it has been.
