SIDE DUMP DRIVER and TRUCK & PUP

Drive a dump truck and pup to and from the job site. While ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed. Must be willing to get out of the truck to help on the job site as well when needed/required.

Pay: $25 to $27 depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs materials handling and storage.
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are being followed. Brings any problems to the attention of the truck manager.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
Collect delivery instructions daily from the Truck Manager, verifying instructions and routes.
Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles immediately.
Must plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
Work with traffic control to ensure all safety procedures are being followed and not disrupting traffic or causing potential hazard to other vehicles and pedestrians.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibrations. The noise level is generally quiet while driving, but loud once in the field.

Full Time position. 50 hours minimum with overtime every week. Monday-Friday, 630am – 5pm, hours may vary depending on work demands. Occasional Saturdays may be required.
Qualifications

Flatbed Experience
Class A CDL required with Triple & Double Endorsement

TRUCK & PUP DRIVER
VanCon in Springville is looking for hard workers in search of a long-term driving career! We are looking for CDL class A driver for one of our truck and pups, experience with Manual transmission and are wanting to grow in your field we want you! VanCon works year-round and you'll be home every night.

3 years in a similar position; Dump Truck Experience; Roll off Experience, Pup Experience
CDL class A (Triples & Doubles Endorsement)
Drive 18 speed manual transmission
Must be registered with FMCSA clearinghouse

Job Summary - Performs tasks involving physical labor at construction projects. The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. Assist crew with laying pipe for water mains, storm, or sanitation sewers. Lay pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Perform any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints.

Responsibilities

Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
Cut pipes to required lengths.
Install or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systems.
Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines or hand tools.
Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors.
Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.
Operate mechanized equipment, such as pickup trucks, rollers, tandem dump trucks, front-end loaders, or backhoes.
Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement, using magnetic or radio indicators.
Train or supervise others in laying pipe.
Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
Qualifications

1-3 years of Pipe laying experience preferred
Pass pre-employment Drug Screen
Pass Background check, Motor Vehicle Check, and E-Verify upon starting
