At 3:37 a.m. on April 12, 2026, your Springville Firefighters were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in the 300 block of N 2000 West in Springville. While crews were responding, additional 911 callers reported smoke and flames showing, and the incident was balanced to a commercial structure fire.
First-arriving crews found smoke and fire coming from one commercial unit and determined the fire involved a vehicle located inside the building. Firefighters from Springville Fire & Rescue, Provo Fire & Rescue, Mapleton City Fire Department, and Spanish Fork Fire & EMS worked aggressively to extinguish the fire and contain it to the unit of origin.
Crews achieved a quick knockdown and remained on scene for approximately two hours completing overhaul. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

Springville Firefighters are currently working an approximately 75 to 100 acre vegetation fire, now being referred to as the Milrace Fire, located near I-15.
As of 18:23, winds have begun to decrease, helping crews gain a better handle on the incident. At this time, no structures are threatened.
We would like to thank our mutual aid partners who responded to assist: Provo Fire, Mapleton Fire, and Spanish Fork Fire & EMS.
Firefighters will continue working to contain the fire and monitor conditions. We appreciate the public’s patience and ask that you avoid the area and watch for emergency vehicles near I-15 while crews continue operations.
