A 100% VOLUNTEER ran 501(c)(3) designed for our first responders here in Springville & Utah County

This is an intro post. Others to follow soon!

But we are grateful for our donors and all those have made this possible. This week we ordered a stadium bullet trap from MGM, and donated it to BYU Police. BYU police is one of our favorites to support because, they work and support so many different agencies. Like other campus departments, they utilize so many different LEOs during events and games and offer tons of great opportunities to agencies around them.

This project will help with training that is far past the regular mandated ones. We can’t wait to see it put to the test.

Come support the Mapleton Utah Police Department tomorrow!

**Last Minute Addition – Help Needed!!**

Tomorrow is our open house for those with special needs. Our first responders are looking forward to interacting with the awesome special needs community (both in Mapleton and our friends in surrounding communities). We have several interactive fun games to play, and the food is being picked up today.

But, I want to add a last minute element to the evening, and I need your help to make it happen. The event ends at around 8pm. I am hoping there are some parents, caregivers, or others with expertise in the field of working with special needs that would be willing to stay a bit later to meet with Police and Fire leadership to discuss emergency responses from their perspective. We want to learn from the people who deal with these challenges on a regular basis. It would be a roundtable forum to discuss challenges that you may see or be concerned about. I anticipate it would be a 30-45 minute open forum discussion.

If you are that person, or know someone that may be willing, please email me at [email protected] so I know how many to plan for.

Thank you,

John Jackson
Public Safety Director

New app to strengthen mental health support for Utah County first responders 03/06/2023

This brings us great joy providing the support to not only our team here in Springville, but to also have the chance to work so closely with other organizations and Dr. Tia White on starting a Utah County wide Peer Support program. We were happy to provide the funds needed to get such a program started. Thank you to all who have helped and supported!
