Transformation Tuesday, Part 2
The reveal 🎉 (from last Tuesday's post).

This master bath gave us more pause than any other space in the house. The layout was awkward, the fireplace complicated things, and we wanted it to feel peaceful and serene, not crowded and forced.

After a lot of planning (and rethinking), we finally landed on a layout that worked. What had become a very dated layout is now calm, functional, light-and-bright spa-like retreat.

So happy with the results!

Transformation Tuesday.... Master Bath, Part 1.

When we bought our 1990s ranch in June of 2023, we got to work immediately on updating the entire house. Everything was finished in less than 𝒇𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒔 — except the guest and master bathrooms.

The guest bath was wrapped up the following February, but the master left us scratching our heads...

❓How could we turn this awkward layout into a serene, spa-like experience we actually looked forward to every morning?

❓How could we make the water closet private without letting it take over the room? If we put it where the shower would be, it would feel like a 12' closet!

❓How could we fit a two-person shower and wet room into the space we had and still accommodate a tub?

❓How could we make the room feel proportionate with 16' high ceilings and not much real estate?

❓And how could we keep the fireplace… and have it actually make sense?

After plenty of measuring, debating, and reimagining, we finally went to work. 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝟐.

This transformation was designed entirely by the homeowners — a talented mother/daughter team — and we were thrilled to bring their vision to life. Such a fun project and an even better reveal.
