Just want to take a sec to celebrate this man . I grew up in a barbershop in Jennings , 10min outside the city of St. Louis . Where earlier in his time might not have been as bad , but when I came around , I saw him raise ,teach , and love us , my aunts , uncles , my father and all of his grandkids in a rough community , all while having and gaining the respect and trust of the people in the neighborhood, that he treated like family ! As a individual , I’ve always aimed to be that , and I thank him and my grandmother for instilling those types of values in us.
I’ll miss you granddad .
