The most practical luxury is the freedom to slow down, explore, and listen.

What does my body need today? What would actually feel good? What changes if I place my hands on the footbar just a little differently?

There’s something different about approaching your body with respect, supporting it instead of pushing through.

When you give yourself that kind of attention, the outside noise fades. Movement in the studio becomes less about effort and more about feeling.

When we ask, “How does that feel? What do you notice?” we’re inviting you to tune in to yourself.

Strength builds quietly with that level of focus. Confidence follows.

This is what we practice here: exploring and listening.

Pilates Lab x Josh Borgemeyer, DPT, MTC presents
Posture Matters- How the Position of Your Rib Cage and Pelvis Affects Core Activation
Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 6pm

Discover how skeletal alignment influences muscular performance in this dynamic workshop led by physical therapist Josh Borgmeyer. Participants will explore how the positioning of the rib cage and pelvis directly impacts core activation and function. Drawing on the principle that form dictates function, this session will delve into how ideal alignment enhances muscle contractility, while misalignment alters length-tension relationships, leading to muscular imbalances—some muscles become shortened and overactive, while others are lengthened and inhibited. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding tri-planar alignment and its role in achieving optimal posture and performance.

Perfect for movement professionals, clinicians, and anyone looking to improve functional strength through better alignment.

The evening will begin with a 30-minute Mat class led by Pilates Lab lead trainer, Katie Dalzell.

Reserve your spot on the Momence App or contact the studio.
