🩻 Radiology Lab Spotlight 🩻

This week in radiology lab, our Veterinary Technology students practiced the core principles of diagnostic imaging using a variety of objects brought from home. Students worked through the full imaging process, including:

• Measuring object thickness
• Selecting appropriate kVp and mAs settings
• Positioning and centering
• Proper collimation
• Radiation safety and image quality evaluation

It’s always fun to see how everyday objects appear on radiographs — and these images definitely sparked some conversation in lab. 👀

Think you can identify the objects from their radiographs? Drop your guesses below! 👇

Exotic patients are not a novelty.
They’re part of modern veterinary medicine.

Reptiles require species-specific handling, temperature awareness, stress minimization, and an understanding of anatomy that looks very different from a dog or cat.

We prepare students to approach these cases with knowledge — not hesitation.

Because when a snake, gecko, or dragon presents in practice, confidence matters.
