Every year, St. Louis and field offices across the country hold a memorial service to honor our fallen. To date, a total of 107 FBI special agents and professional staff were killed in the line of duty or in the performance of duty.
The Bureau-wide total includes Special Agent Douglas Abram, a Missouri native, who was shot and killed on January 19, 1990. Agent Abram and his SWAT team members were securing a St. Louis County house before a search warrant for drugs and weapons could be executed.

We remember Special Agent William H. Christian Jr. He was fatally shot 31 years ago today during a stake out. He was searching for a suspect wanted for several police shootings and killings in DC and Maryland. The 20-year FBI veteran also served as a SWAT team member. https://ow.ly/5ln750Z5B9J
