A special shoutout to Community Health Workers (CHWs) Kelvin Melton and Candace Henderson for representing IHN's Tornado Recovery Initiative in this story and for their continued work in the community. Every day, they go above and beyond to connect tornado survivors with medical care, utility assistance, medications, and other essential resources, helping ensure health needs don't get lost amid the challenges of rebuilding.
As one resident shared, these efforts felt like "angels being sent" during a difficult time. Stories like these remind us that recovery is about more than rebuilding homes. It's about supporting people every step of the way.
