Does BOTOX Cosmetic work? Generally, we do evaluations at 2 weeks after injection to evaluate its effectiveness. The effects are not permanent because new neurons are regenerated to restore muscle function. This regeneration is gradual and takes about 3-4 months. The "frozen" look is generally at the early stages post-treatment but movement begins as early as 3 weeks and slowly increases over the next several months. It is desirable to wait at least 3 months for your next "full" treatment. Touch-up treatment should be done at 2 weeks after treatment.
