Day Game Candy

A great day celebrating Warren and Jill Schimpff. A great story of the last 35 years building the #1 candy store in the country (USA Today poll). Good luck to Steve and Beth ushering in the next generation of Schimpff candy makers. Thanks for inviting me to join in the celebration!

Today I embraced French style candy making inspired by this new beautiful copper candy pot from E. Dehillerens, gifted to me (Thanks Clear Toy Candy / Thos. Mills & Bros.!). Most of my antique equipment is from the US, but this is a machine from Paris in the 40’s. These are called Berlingot candies in France. We often call them humbugs. To top it off they are striped for Pride this month!
