The Community Service Club's Halloween Costume Drive to benefit Kingdom House ends Friday, October 19th. The costumes may be new or gently-used. Please place your donations in the white Community Service Club bins (located outside Woods Hall and in the English Commons).

The costumes will be distributed to children at the Kingdom House Halloween Party on October 20th —an event hosted by Whitfield students at the Kingdom House facility. During the party, students will hand out the costumes and participate in fun activities with the children including face-painting, decorating pumpkins, and playing games.

Whitfield students will co-host the annual Halloween Party on Saturday, October 20th from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.at Kingdom House (1321 South 11th Street, St. Louis, MO 63104).

If you are interested in signing up for the party, please email faculty member Andrew Asikainen, [email protected].

Please let us know if you are able to bring items or games for use at the party. Items needed include face paint, markers and crayons, story books, and games. We also need assistance in delivering the costumes to Kingdom House on the afternoon of Friday, October 19. If you are able to help, please email Mr. Asikainen.

Our final community service drive for year is for Clothes 4 Confidence, a non-for-profit started by Sophia Chrysler, Class 2018. Clothes 4 Confidence works towards building confidence and readiness for the classroom through new individualized outfits. This drive will be for "backpack stuffers" such as new school supplies, nail polish and other simple make up like mascara, perfume and cologne, and socks. These items need to be new since we are trying to help these middle school and high school students feel special, confident, and ready for the classroom. Please place all donations carefully into the community service bins located in the English Hallway and outside Woods Hall. The drive started on April 24 and will end on Thursday, May 10.
If you would like to make a larger donation by shopping for a specific student, please contact Sophia Chrysler at [email protected]. This will take place over the summer. If you are interested, you will be assigned a student to shop for. This is our main drive and our goal is to collect 100 individualized outfits for 100 specific students.

Thank you!
