As a Broadway actress, has an undeniable presence, but what made this day unforgettable wasn’t the spectacle—it was how much joy filled every moment and the contagious energy brought to this Brooklyn night.

Social media used to be about the highlight reel, but as longer form video is emerging here, it made sense to me to revisit a few moments from this incredible celebration for their first anniversary. These from one of the most stylish and magnetic celebrations I’ve ever had the privilege of filming.


1: Tristen and John re-entering the reception after an outfit change and bringing the house down to “New York, New York.”

2- guests enjoyed a waterside sunset cocktail hour with the Statue of Liberty while the couple signed their marriage license.

3- after a very emotional ceremony, the couple recessed to a flower petal toss.

4- their first dance was to “Can’t take my eyes off you”. Tristen spent sometime on Broadway with Jersey Boys!

5- a photoshoot I could have spent all year in.

6- Tristen as an absolute force on the dance floor.

7- some of the first tears of the day for the opening of the ceremony.

8- Tristen’s mother was such a supporter of her musical career it only made sense for them to steal the show for their dance together! Guests were so surprised.

9- at the end of the night, there were two lovers still dancing while the horns played themselves out past midnight. John designed the menus himself. What a vibe.

Growing a human is really hard work, all applause to the women who can make it look graceful in the progress.
