Today, our city is possibly losing $20 million in violence prevention funding.

Let that sink in.

At a time when violence is rising and families are burying loved ones, resources that help keep our communities safe are being taken away. The organizations doing the work on the ground mentoring our youth, interrupting violence, and giving people hope are now being forced to do more with less.

And yet, too many of us sit on the sidelines.
We all have to get in the game. We have to invest in our city, our neighborhoods, and our people. We spend too much money and have too much at stake not to have a seat at the table. The sad truth is that we keep electing the same leaders because it’s comfortable, even when our communities continue to suffer.
Now ask yourself this: with these programs gone and so many people refusing to participate, advocate, or vote...will your loved one be next?

Because violence doesn’t care what neighborhood you live in, how much money you make, or who you know. Eventually, it knocks on everyone’s door.

And stop believing the lie that voting doesn’t matter. That’s the real scheme. The real scheme is convincing you that your voice doesn’t count so others can control the narrative, make the decisions, and determine the future of your community without you.

If you’re tired of the violence, get involved.

If you’re tired of losing our children, get
involved.

If you’re tired of attending funerals, get involved.

Because if we don’t fight for our city, nobody else will.

Registration is officially open, and every registration helps fuel our mission. This year, we’ll award over $10,000 in scholarships on August 1 while continuing to support students and families throughout our community.
