Engineers Without Borders - SLU Chapter

Hello!!

Today is SLU’s fourth annual Giving Day. This annual 24-hour day of giving (from 12AM today to 12AM tomorrow) is SLU’s biggest fundraising event of the year, and it brings the SLU community together in support of important projects across the University.

As the SLU Chapter of Engineers Without Borders, we are looking for donations to support our mission to bring clean and reliable drinking water to Esther House, a children’s home in Kapenguria, Kenya. We would use your support towards the purchasing of construction materials as well as travel costs for our chapter to implement the project.

There are a couple exciting things happening this year with SLU Giving Day. Firstly, Stephen Myers (CSB ‘70) has offered to donate $100,000 once 250 donors are reached!
“I hope my involvement and financial support to the University will help instill the same spirit of giving in the next generation,” Myers said. “It is important to pay it forward, and I hope future generations continue this tradition of supporting the institution that has given us so much.”

Also, as a special thank you, SLU will be sending out Billiken koozies to donors who make a gift of $60 or more on SLU Giving Day. You are able to split your gift into multiple designations or just one!

Hi everyone, friendly reminder from EWB and WHO to stay inside and stay safe during the coming weeks. While we won't be able to meet up in person, stay tuned for virtual ways to keep up with EWB!

It's conference season! EWB has just released the application for scholarships equal to the amount of the admission fee for the conference. It's a great opportunity to learn more about engineering, EWB and to network with professionals. Applications are due August 18th at midnight, the link is attached!
