Update on the Vrbo situation…

What was supposed to be a trip to make memories with my kids has turned into spending my entire vacation documenting unsafe conditions, making calls, sending emails, and fighting to be heard.

I reported everything immediately and gave Vrbo every photo, receipt, recording, and piece of evidence they asked for. Their solution was to give the host a “second chance” after I was told the house had been cleaned and the pool was safe. I returned because they asked me to, only to find even more safety hazards, including unsecured corrosive chemicals.

Instead of putting my children’s safety first, I’ve spent days being asked for more proof while my reservation continues to expire. They have offered partial compensation $400 for an eight night stay that cost nearly $4,000 instead of taking accountability for a property that was not safe or as represented.

Vrbo promotes its Book with Confidence Guarantee and says guest safety comes first. I believed that. I still hope they choose to stand behind the promises they make to every family that books through their platform.

The photos, emails, and recorded calls speak for themselves. I’m not giving up until this is resolved.
