Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis was honored to sponsor Saturday’s Bocce Ball Tournament, one of the Legends Games hosted by the Jewish Community Center.

Events like these create opportunities for older adults to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy meaningful connections with others. We are grateful to support programs that bring people together and strengthen our community and Catholic Charities was honored to serve as a sponsor of the 2026 Legend Games for seniors and to attend the final event at the Italia-American Bocce Club.

The Legend Games provide an outstanding opportunity for older adults to stay active, build friendships, and celebrate healthy living. We were pleased to have Chris Baechle, Executive Director of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, represent Catholic Charities at this special event.

We extend our sincere appreciation to The Jewish Community Center (The J) for their leadership and partnership in creating programs that enhance the quality of life for older adults throughout our region. Collaborations like these strengthen our community and help ensure older adults have opportunities to thrive.

She only has eyes for you! Sophie the therapy dog made a stop at our Independent Living Apartments, Our Lady of Life recently. While research on the efficacy of therapy dogs and older adults mostly pertains to skilled nursing communities and hospitals, who couldn't feel better when a dog looks at you that way?
