Welcome Intern !

Jake will be working with the team for the next couple weeks as he completes his senior internship before graduating from John Jay High School In Cross River, NY.

Jake has been a member of BVT Lab working with Coach Statuti for over 5 years. Jake will be attending Michigan State University in the Fall.

We’re excited to have Jake as part of the team the next couple weeks. Feel free to say Hi to Jake next time you’re in the Building!

🚨Tight Hip Flexors?🚨

Every Wednesday we work on active recovery and mobility. This is to keep our athletes healthy and to decrease the risk of injury due to the high demands we place on their bodies in the weight room throughout the week.

currently has pretty tight hip flexors from the high demand of stress playing baseball as well as what we’ve been doing in the weight room.

This Hip Flexor mobility exercise can help create more mobility in the joint as well as strengthen Jake’s Hip flexors. We use The band as an external cue to help limit upper body compensation during the drill.

Because Jake has tight hip flexors you’ll notice he has a hard time keeping is opposite knee planted on the floor and his upper body wants to help compensate to help drive the hip up and over the blocks. These are things we’ll look to improve as we progress over the next couple weeks.
