While Shannon Cohn, Director of Below the Belt, was absolutely brilliant on The View yesterday, Whoopi made completely false statements regarding endometriosis. Endometriosis does not happen from letting a UTI go on too long and then you get discharge thats treated with antibiotics and you are cured. Perhaps thats endometritis, not endometriosis. When celebrities get it wrong it sets the work done by this community back decades. It minimizes the long and difficult journey most of us have had. It is frustrating to work towards change when so much of so misinformation. It’s our turn to roar back at the misinformation. Take some time today and tell your truth about endometriosis.
