The Rifle Team-Tarleton State University

The Rifle Team lost a good friend, Sunday, with the passing of Tarleton alum Dave Dickerson. Dave helped me coach and mentor the Team for several years. He was a good friend to us all and will be greatly missed. We love you, Dave.

Congratulations to Rifle Team members Matt Sellers and Dylan Overstreet for first and second place (respectively) in the Abilene Garand match. Well done.

We are a competitive shooting team; we are not a social club. Rifle Team membership requires maturity, self-discipline, and a substantial commitment to the team.

My thanks to the Rifle Team for another wonderful year. My congratulations to those who graduated and are moving on; it's been a pleasure and you can still shoot with us as alumna and alumni. For everyone else, we'll start up the end of August. Best wishes for a great summer!

The Rifle Team would like to thank the Stephenville Evening Lion's Club for all of their wonderful community work and especially for their generous support of the Team. The Evening Lion's Club has most generously made a donation to the Team to cover the cost of our insurance for the year. Our insurance is our greatest expense other than reloading components and we are required to carry our own insurance in order to operate. Thank you all so much!
