Loudoun Half Races

The Ashburn Area Running Club was excited for the possibilities of bringing you the 8th running of the Loudoun Half Races, however, as a non-profit organization operated by volunteers, we have thought long and hard about how to move forward with the 2021 event during the current COVID-19 times. Regrettably, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel the event for 2021.

With COVID-19 still very much a part of the community, we feel the best decision for the Loudoun Half Races is to not offer the event for 2021. It is our hope we will be back at the start line in 2022 ready to gather as a running community safe and healthy.

For those of you who joined us virtually in 2020 with hopes of a 2021 race, we will be in touch with more information on your registration process for 2022.

Thank you for your continued support of our event which has donated over $100,000 to local Loudoun County Public School’s track and field & cross country teams since our race began seven years ago.

The Ashburn Area Running Club - AARC is excited to be working to bring you the 7th running of the Loudoun Half Races.

At this time, there are no changes to any of our races. We are moving forward as planned and scheduled. We are monitoring the local impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), following the advice of the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention as well as staying in contact with Loudoun County officials for updates and recommendations. It is our top priority to bring a healthy and safe event to our running community.

As runners ourselves, we encourage you to listen to you body leading up to race weekend and to follow appropriate health guidelines to ensure you are well enough to participate in any race event.

We want everyone to do their best to keep our running community safe. We will provide ongoing updates to you on the Loudoun Half Races as necessary via the event website, email, and social media.
