Natural Appetite Suppressants Found In Common Foods
www.meyrexhealth.com

Are you looking for natural appetite suppressants? Do you want to control your hunger without turning to pills or chemicals that you don't know much about? Well, I have good news for you. This article will deal with five foods that are natural appetite suppressants.

You should keep these foods on hand all of the time because you never know when the hunger bug will strike. The foods are water, vegetable or chicken broth, green leafy vegetables, pickles, and apples.

The first natural appetite suppressants is simple drinking water. Water is a wonderful substance. Your body is 55 to 60 percent water, so this is a substance that you constantly need to renew. But, water has other effects as well. If you get hungry and it is not meal time, you will often find that drinking an 8 ounce glass of water takes away hunger's edge. Wait 10 minutes after drinking the water before eating anything. Most of the time, you will find that you don't need to eat.

Now, a lot of people don't like to drink water. That is unfortunate because it does so many good things for your body. But, if that is the case for you, organic vegetable broth is a food that fills you up. The body processes water as a liquid, but it processes broth as a food. This means that broth satisfies your body's need for food. Chicken broth is an acceptable substitute. Heat up 32 ounces of the broth and try to make it through all of the soup. You will probably find that you can't before you are stuffed. And you'll do it on only 20 calories!

Green leafy vegetables are the third of our natural appetite suppressants. They have so few calories that you don't even have to count them! In fact, many of these can even be considered negative calorie foods because it takes more energy for the body to digest the vegetables than it's calories. If you are going to use salad dressing, find a very low calorie dressing and use it sparingly. You shouldn't use more than 100 calories of dressing on a big bowl of salad greens.

Pickles aren't just for pregnant women anymore. An entire jar of organic dill pickles has only 50 calories. So, when you need something to munch on, a pickle spear might fit the bill.

Finally, consider apples as one of your natural appetite suppressants. Apples may be the highest calorie food on this list, but they are packed with fiber. An apple will fill you up for a long time. They are also sweet, so when you crave a cookie, grab an apple.

You don't have to have pills or potions to get control of your hunger. Mother nature has provided a number of natural appetite suppressants in the form of water, broth, green leafy vegetables, pickles, and apples.

Cost Of Vegan Diet-May Be Worth It No Matter What The Cost
www.meyrexhealth.com

If you are thinking of becoming a vegan, no matter what your reasons are, you will be happy to know that in addition to the potential health benefits you will get, you may also save some money. The cost of vegan diet will vary significantly depending on the types of foods you choose and if you buy more processed pre made food or you prefer to buy the raw food and cook your own meals from scratch.

There are a ton of meat substitutes you can incorporate into you daily diet. They have substitutes that taste like hamburger, hotdogs and breakfast sausage to name just a few. There are several brands available on the market today all you have to do is look around.

You can go to a smaller all organic store for your foods, which I can almost guarantee you will increase the cost of vegan diet, or you can go to some larger chain super markets and find a fairly large variety of organic and vegan options that may be a little lower priced than at the local organic store.

Again, it's up to you. If you choose to prepare most of your foods from scratch, you will probably save money when you become a vegan. When I go to the grocery store, I always find that the two groups of products that always seem to cost the most are cleaning supplies and meat. You will still need to get the cleaning supplies but by not buying meat you can significantly cut your grocery bill in a lot of cases (though if you are cutting out meat but adding the soy imitation meat products you may not see a cost savings, you may actually spend a little bit more).

You also need to be aware of some of the nutritional needs that may not being met with a vegan diet. Protein, zinc and vitamin B12 are some of the most common vitamins and minerals that you may not be getting enough of. This can easily be overcome by adding a quality full spectrum multi vitamin to your diet on a daily basis.

You can also eat more beans (pretty much any type you want but black beans are particularly high in protein) or nuts such as almonds, cashews, pistachios and pecans. Just a small handful of nuts for a snack every day may be all you need to do.

Of course, you will also want to check all the labels of the pre made food you buy. There you will get an idea of how much, if any, protein and other vitamins and minerals it contains. At first, this might be a little time consuming but as you get used to your new diet, you won't have to think twice, it will all come naturally.

The cost of vegan diet can vary quite a bit depending on where you get your food and how much processed food you buy in relation to raw food, but becoming a vegan might pay off in so many
other ways it may still be worth it even if it does cost a little more.

List of Foods that Speed up Metabolism - What The Diet Industry Is Trying To Hide
www.meyrexhealth.com/walkingforweightloss/

A friend recently asked me a question that made me take notice: "If someone gave you, at no cost, a list of foods known to speed up your metabolism; and if each of those foods were good for you, would you want to eat them?"

Chances are you would be shocked to see many foods you enjoy on that list. The chances are also good that you would find some foods you like, but choose to avoid because you've been convinced that they are not conducive to weight loss. For example, low-fat dieters often shy away from nuts because of their fat content. Those on low-carb diets stay away from most grains. And the most earnest low-carb dieters won't eat fruit because they contain natural sugars.

Something is obviously wrong with the diet industry. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but they have a reason to keep people overweight. Think about it. With all of the low-fat, no-carb, "eat all the cabbage you want" diets that are out there, people are still gaining weight. At the very least it shows that the diet gurus do not have all of the answers, or aren't sharing them if they do.

The weight loss industry won't like me saying this, but you can lose weight by applying a decent amount of common sense. All you need to do is expend more calories than you take in. That's all. Take in fewer calories by eating less, and expend them by exercising more. To make things easier, you can eat certain foods that will help to boost your metabolism.

High up on the list for metabolism boosting foods are tuna, salmon and sardines. This is because they work to lower your body's level of the hormone leptin. Research has shown that lower levels of leptin make for easy weight loss. In addition, they are each high in Omega-3 fatty acids which are good fats for a healthy heart. Another source of good fat for increasing metabolism is olive oil. See, you really can have your fat and eat it, too!

Did you know that hot peppers like jalapeno, habanero and cayenne actually speed up metabolism. The same component that makes them hot, capsaicin, can also fire up your metabolism for three hours after you eat them. If you select spicy dishes that are also low-fat, you will come out even farther ahead in the battle to lose weight.

Other foods that get the inner furnace stoked up include whole grains. Because they take longer to digest, the body keeps expending energy to move them along and they prevent spikes in blood sugar, too. Cinnamon can also regulate blood sugar levels and aids in revving up metabolism. Foods that are high in protein like lean meat, eggs, beans and nuts will have your body humming along. The final entry on the list of foods that boost metabolism for weight loss is to drink plenty of water. Not because it will help you feel full, or necessarily make you lose weight, but because it keeps everything else running the way it should.
