If you do lose power please do not crank your heater to full blast when it comes back on all it will do will ruin the heater.

POWER UPDATE -- NO DISRUPTION OF SERVICE AT THIS TIME. At the last minute, the Southwest Power Pool issued a restore order that brought back on the first group of communities that were scheduled for a power curtailment. THERE WILL BE NO CURTAILMENT OF POWER IN STILLWATER AT THIS TIME. Please continue to conserve energy where you can; it helps. The City will provide updates as appropriate.

We have received notification that power curtailments in Stillwater will start at 1:20pm today. If curtailments go as planned 4500 customers will lose power for about 45 minutes. It is speculated there will be a series of curtailments. As one group comes online another group will go offline.
