Yesterday, we celebrated the completion of the East Channel Street Streetscape and Connectivity Project with an exciting ribbon-cutting ceremony in Downtown Stockton!

This project reflects a strong partnership between the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission, the City of Stockton, and our state, regional, local, labor, and community partners. Together, we transformed an important downtown corridor with improvements that enhance safety, accessibility, walkability, and connectivity.

A special thank you to SJRRC Board Chair and Lodi City Councilmember Lisa Craig-Hensley, Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi, Senator Jerry McNerney, Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom, and all the elected officials and representatives who joined us for this milestone celebration!

We also thank our funding partners, Caltrans, the San Joaquin Council of Governments, the City of Stockton, and Visionary Home Builders, for helping make this project possible.

These improvements create stronger connections for transit throughout Downtown Stockton and deliver a safer, more welcoming corridor for the community.
