Grateful for the men and women who choose to run TOWARD trouble! Kudos to Officers Griner and Bailey for their grit and professionalism in responding to a subject firing a long gun while they were armed only with service pistols. These are the people who make America great!

Three observations: First, our condolences and prayers for comfort to all who were affected by this act of violence. Second, if your school does not have both a plan and the training for that plan in place, you have big problems! Third, kudos to the North Park Elementary School and their District for having both a plan AND the means to follow it in place. Initial reports show a very good response from the school to a very bad situation.
