National Public Safety Telecommunications Week
April 12-16 is National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, a time to recognize and honor the dispatchers who act as a liaison between the public and emergency services during times of need. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, public safety telecommunicators receive 240 million 911 calls each year.
