Here’s a list of documents you need to help ensure you file taxes accurately.

* Photo ID
* Social Security Card or Birth Certificate
* Dependents information
* W-2 form(s) for all jobs last year
* 1099-NEC and/or 1099-K
* SSA-1099 form for Social Security benefits
* 1099-G for unemployment benefit
* 1098-T for scholarships/fellowships
* 1099-R for disability income
* Form 1095-A (if you had coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace)
* 1098-T for College tuition

Corporations, limited liability companies, and similar entities registered to do business in the U.S. are required to file a Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). This report must be submitted before January 1, 2025, or a daily fine of $500 will apply.
