CALL TO ARTISTS - 10 DAYS LEFT TO APPLY !!!
2026 Storefront Art Showcase
This is a call to artists residing in Martin County, St. Lucie County, Indian River County, Okeechobee County and Palm Beach County to enter our 8th annual contest for the chance to have their art digitally framed and showcased on our showroom windows throughout the next year. The contest is open to all artists (professional, emerging and hobbyist) 18 years of age and older.
We are looking for compelling works of art that will capture the attention of passersby. Artists are encouraged to submit 1-3 high resolution jpeg images (a minimum of 2000 pixels in width, 300 ppi at 3.5 MB) of their original 2-D art in the following categories: Figure, Wildlife, Botanical, Still-Life, Landscape & Abstract. The art must be in a portrait orientation in order to be displayed on our storefront windows properly.
All entries must be submitted using our online entry form, using the button below. Entries are $10 each and are paid within the form.
The contest runs through Sunday, November 30th, 2025. The four chosen artists will be announced on Friday, December 5th on our social media pages and website. The art will be digitally framed, printed on perforated vinyl decals, and displayed on our storefront windows throughout 2026. Hundreds of people drive and walk past The Gilt Complex every day, providing fantastic exposure for the selected artists.
The winners will be featured in our January newsletter and invited to participate in a celebratory exhibition and Open House at The Gilt Complex, that will take place mid-January.

FINE ART EXHIBITION: ARTIST FEATURE
Our Fine Art Exhibition & Open House is Saturday, November 15th, 2025 from 10 AM to 5 PM. We're hosting 16+ professional artists, specializing in a variety of mediums, styles and themes! Today, we'd like to introduce one of these amazing artists, Lynn Morgan !
"I have been an artist for many years. I have painted in acrylics, watercolors, pastels and most recently oil and cold wax. Recently, I have begun creating one-of-a-kind designer bags. My bags are made of faux leather, cork, canvas and/or cotton. I create unique styles, colors and combinations of cross-body bags, tote bags, hobo bags, evening bags, pouches and many others. I create custom bags upon request."
For Lynn Morgan, creating art is an integral part of her philosophy of being consciously aware of the world around her. Lynn has been creating art all of her life. Until her retirement from the corporate world, art was one of her hobbies, but it was the only hobby that she never tired of. She knew that when she retired, she would reinvent herself as an artist, and that’s what she did. By attending classes and workshops, she learned techniques that have evolved over the years from realistic renderings to a much more abstract style. Lynn loves to travel the world and is considered quite the adventurer by her friends. Her works are inspired by the sights and sounds of her travels to various parts of the world.
When Lynn first began painting with pastels, she tried portraiture. Although her portraits were well-received, she was drawn to non-objective art, and portraiture is about as far from non-objective art as you can get. She began a period of figurative paintings, studying with Margaret Dyer, and her style evolved into a looser, more abstract one. As her travels increased, Lynn began painting landscapes. She has studied with Miroslav Antic, Terri Ford, Casey Klahn, Aline Ordman, Tony Allain, Jen Evenhus, Melinda Cootsona and Jenny Nelson. Her style continues to move toward more abstraction. The latest in this evolution is the introduction of an exciting collection of abstract, figurative and non-objective works in oil and cold wax.
Lynn is now a full-time artist. She is a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), the Artists Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Florida Artists Group (FLAG), Women in the Visual Arts (WITVA) and the Martin Artisans Guild. She is also a juried member of the Pastel Society of America. She exhibits both locally and nationally and has won awards at several exhibits. Lynn is currently represented by GalleryVibe in Naples, Florida.
