For this modern ranch living room, scale mattered. We designed this nearly 15-foot-tall fireplace wall to anchor the open-concept layout, emphasize the architecture, and create a focal point that still felt calm and restrained. Built-ins layered with natural materials soften the scale, allowing the room to feel warm, grounded, and deeply livable.

This room was designed with scale, restraint, and warmth in mind. Nearly 15 feet tall and 19 feet wide, the fireplace wall anchors the entire home, wrapped floor-to-ceiling in porcelain slab for a clean architectural statement. A floating Black Diamond quartzite hearth grounds the space, while silver travertine layered into the built-ins softens the scale with texture and depth.

The v***r fireplace keeps the experience subtle and atmospheric, allowing the materials to speak quietly for themselves.
