🌀TROPICS UPDATE🌀

We are watching two new areas with a chance of tropical development.

A wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa in the next couple of days. There’s a chance this combined system could slowly develop as it moves west to northwest at about 15-20 mph. It’s something to keep an eye on.

Closer to home, a low-pressure system could form near the northwest Bahamas or southern Florida by Saturday. Development could happen slowly as it moves northwest across the state and into the eastern Gulf. Heavy rainfall is expected to impact South Florida regardless of development.

Moist air from the Atlantic is streaming in, and that means off-and-on showers, storms and the potential for heavy rainfall throughout the weekend.
