Sailing south days 1-3!!

I still can’t believe this is MY boat. These were looonngggg days. Sunrise to sunset hand steering solo. Sprinting to bathroom breaks, walking hadley to the trampolines to go potty (she didn’t) lol actually she did once. Figuring out all the systems on the boat, radar, gps, depth sounder, sails, throttles, battery system, water maker, fresh water pumps, that doesn’t even break the surface really. It was so exhausting but sooo exciting. It still doesn’t feel real, honestly i don’t think it will for a long time.

annnddd it begins! any boat you get it going to have issues and todays just happened to be issues with my mini boat for my big boat.

aka my dinghy, my car, my shuttle service, the only way i can get back and forth to land 😅

makes me really miss my dinghy, she is back at Sadie and will be on this new boat as soon as we get back to her!

Having air conditioning on the new boat has been an absolute game changer.

The only thing better than having strong, cold air blowing in your face is knowing it’s also clean air.

Old boats come with old boat smells & mine is no exception. After running the Airlock Purifier for just a few days, I noticed a huge difference in the air quality onboard, the smell is dwindling after 30 years of lingering & breathing it in just feel crisper.

The only bad part is now I have no idea how I’m going to survive when I can’t run the AC. 😂 Looks like upgrading the battery bank and adding more solar just moved a little higher on the ever growing project list.
