Bortot Counseling Services
Together we will explore and identify the root cause of your problems so healing can begin. You are not alone. I am here to help.
We often hear that grief comes in stages, but what we don’t hear enough is that those stages aren’t meant to be linear or completed like a checklist.
Grief has a way of revisiting us—on birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, or in the most ordinary moments. A song, a scent, a familiar place, or a random Tuesday can suddenly bring someone we love rushing back into our hearts.
That doesn’t mean you’re moving backward.
It doesn’t mean you’re “stuck.”
It means you loved deeply.
Grief is rooted in love. And love doesn’t simply disappear because someone is gone. It changes, it evolves, and it becomes part of the story we carry with us throughout our lives.
Healing isn’t about forgetting or never feeling sad again. It’s about learning to make room for both the love and the loss, knowing they can exist together.
If your grief still shows up months or years later, be gentle with yourself. Your heart is remembering someone who mattered.
🤍 If this resonates with you, know you’re not alone. Feel free to share this with someone who may need the reminder today.
The goal isn’t to become a different person. The goal is to accept the person you’ve been all along. 💚
We often believe we need to get rid of the parts of ourselves that feel messy, emotional, uncertain, or vulnerable. But true healing isn’t about eliminating parts of who you are—it’s about learning to welcome them with compassion.
The strongest version of you isn’t the one that has it all together. It’s the one that can honor every chapter, every emotion, and every part of your story.
What part of yourself are you learning to accept right now? ⬇️💚
