We are excited to introduce you to the dedicated individuals behind ICCI's mission. Today, let's get to know Kasey Hatwood, CDS, our Case Coordinator, and Lead Investigator!

Kasey Hatwood is an invaluable member of the ICCI's team. She is a Criminal Defense Specialist and holds a BAS in Criminal Justice. Kasey adds a wide array of knowledge and experience to our investigative team. Her work as a Lead Investigator and Case Coordinator is essential to advancing our goals with accuracy and commitment.

Beyond her role at the Institute, Kasey holds the position of Research Coordinator at Massnick Educational Entertainment, LLC, while simultaneously pursuing a dual Master of Public Administration and Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree at the University of Central Florida to further her education.

Kasey's greatest passions are investigating, exploring new places, and spending time with her beloved pup. While balancing her academics and career, she enjoys traveling to new destinations and having memorable experiences with her forever friend by her side.
Kasey's goal at ICCI is to demonstrate to the public that individuals outside of law enforcement can significantly impact investigations, ultimately bringing justice to families who have long-awaited closure.

Today, let's dive into the story of Dr. Kimberlie Massnick, our visionary Founder and Director!

Dr. Kimberlie Massnick is a trailblazer in the cold case industry, armed with a Ph.D. in Criminology and a BA in Forensic Psychology. As the Founder and Director of the Institute for Cold Case Investigation, she brings a profound understanding and relentless passion to the forefront, consistently creating new opportunities in the cold case industry.

As an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Indian River State College (IRSC), Dr. Massnick advocates for an interdisciplinary approach to education, emphasizing the importance of integrating learning into real-world contexts; bringing ICCI’s Community Service Branch to the students of IRSC.

Outside of ICCI, Dr. Massnick finds serenity in the tranquility of her Zen garden. This sanctuary is not just a place of peace for her but a place of inspiration. Family is her cornerstone, and the moments shared with her son and grandchildren are among her most cherished treasures. Her three fur babies add a layer of warmth and joy to her life, making each day brighter and more enjoyable.

As the organization's founder and director, Kimberlie’s goal is to spotlight the harsh reality that tragedy can strike anywhere. “I aim to empower everyone to play a role in seeking justice. My passion lies in promoting awareness and mobilizing collective action towards building a more just society."

"For me, the founding of ICCI is more than just a dream come true; it's an opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals to make a meaningful difference in the world. My ultimate goal is to bring together a diverse set of skills at the table, uniting knowledge and a shared commitment to justice in order to assist others."

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of 11-year-old Audrii Cunningham, who was found under heartbreaking circumstances last evening, February 20, 2024. Polk County Sheriff Byron Lyons reported that Audrii was discovered near the Trinity River in Livingston, Texas.

Rooted in advocacy for victims, we stand together in solidarity with Audrii's family, friends, teachers, and the entire community of Livingston during this unimaginable time.

Let us reflect on the importance of our shared responsibility to protect and uplift one another.
